Pollinators: Summer 2018
These 50 paintings were created for an exhibit at 171 Cedar Arts Center in Corning, NY
Pollinators are an important part of our ecosystem, they are also in danger. Pollinators include bees, birds, bats, small mammals, butterflies, moths, and other insects. Pollinators play a crucial role in flowering plant reproduction in the crops that we eat. Between 75% and 95% of all flowering plants on the earth need pollinators. In this body of work I illustrate the the wide variety of pollinators, their beauty, and some of the plants they need to survive. I hope to inspire others to take notice of pollinators, plant a garden for them and help conserve our beautiful world.
